The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis held its annual Maritime Law Seminar on October 20, 2011 at the Ballpark Hilton Hotel. Simon Tonkin was among the speakers and he made a presentation on Damages in Maritime Cases. Seminar materials included a paper on the same topic by Mr. Tonkin and Courtney Stirrat.

The week of April 27 - 30, 2010, Simon Tonkin, Jim Mondl and Rich McNelley participated in the annual Greater New Orleans Barge & Fleeting Association Seminar in New Orleans, LA, attended by close to 500 people in the industry.

Simon Tonkin served as a moderator for a panel of several expert witnesses that discussed the use of expert witnesses in marine casualties. Jim Mondl presented the legal perspective for use of expert witnesses on that panel. The paper is available in the Papers & Publications section of our website.

On September 17, 2009, Simon Tonkin, Jim Mondl, Rich McNelley, and Courtney Stirrat participated in the St. Louis Maritime Law Seminar sponsored by Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Jim Mondl, as chair of the Maritime Committee for the Bar Association of Maritime St. Louis, organized and moderated the seminar.

Rich McNelley presented at the seminar on issues of criminal exposure in the marine industry.
